Modern Side Garden
This side garden turns a passage beside the home into a clear garden route. The curved edge of the lawn and the planting soften the straight wall while preserving a practical path.

A closer look
The design is read through its paths, planting layers, and places to spend time outdoors.
What the space needed
The narrow space is organized into a walkway and a planted edge. The curve gives the route a gentler movement and keeps the planting from reading as a thin strip beside the house.
How the planting works
Narrow evergreens provide repeated vertical points near the wall. Ornamental grasses and rounded flowering shrubs fill between them, bringing a mix of upright and loose forms.
Materials and layout
A pale stone walk bends through a dark planting bed. A small area of lawn sits alongside it, creating a clean line between the open ground and the layered planting.
Using the garden
The path reads as a useful side connection as well as a planted view from the home. The open center and clear bed edge leave the route easy to follow.
Grass foliage and flowering shrubs will move through seasonal changes, while the evergreen forms keep the path framed in every season.
