Contemporary Entry Garden

The entry path takes a gentle route through a simple contemporary landscape. Open lawn and planted beds alternate along the approach, giving the modern home a softer foreground.

A closer look

The design is read through its paths, planting layers, and places to spend time outdoors.

What the space needed

The path creates a clear arrival sequence while the lawn keeps the front garden open. The planting is concentrated along the path and home so the architecture remains easy to see.

How the planting works

Upright evergreens provide repeated structure near the house. Ornamental grasses and rounded shrubs loosen the edges, giving the planting a mix of vertical and flowing forms.

Materials and layout

A pale stone walk curves through lawn and dark planting beds. The clean path, crisp facade, and simple bed shapes work together as one continuous entry composition.

Using the garden

The winding route slows the approach without making it difficult to follow. The open lawn and low planting also keep the entry visible from the home and the drive.

Grasses and flowering shrubs will change in height, color, and texture over the year, while the path and evergreen forms provide a steady structure.
